Feelings and Emotions are not the same!

We all have experienced feelings and emotions because it is part of the human experience. Yet there are particular aspects of each other that makes them different. My understanding of feelings is derived from the spiritual concept of different energy bodies mediating as an interphase between the physical and the soul or higher self. Feelings then are spontaneous creative energy gestalts emanating from the soul, where as emotions are recreations from the memory imprints in the energy bodies. Both have profound effects in the physical body, where feelings are mediated by the Heart and emotions by the brain or lower mind. Enlightenment then has to do with how complete the Soul gestalts have impregnated the energy bodies rendering them unable to recreate maladaptive emotional patterns. This is a process that takes many lifetimes, on each one, the Soul can penetrate deeper into the energy bodies. Enlightenment is an integral part of the human experience and whether you do yoga, chant mantras, meditate, receive Reiki (things that accelerate the process) or kill and torture others (things that reverse the process)  or yet live a simple life, your Soul is working with you on it 24-7. It is said that some Souls came to work with this physical reality earlier than others and as such some have more or less developed energy bodies that have been impregnated by their Souls.

Have you ever seen how different people react differently to emotional hurt? I suspect that emotional intelligence is nothing more than a reflection of how much a Soul has worked on a certain area of the energy bodies. My interest in this area stems from the observations that people that have developed the emotional intelligence in one area can helps others that have not. The process has less to do with the spoken words, but how well the Helping Soul can support the Soul of those in need by mirroring their enlightened energy body into others. This is a process that requires energetic coherence and resonance.

At the physical level we can help our Soul by maintaining a coherent Heart and establishing resonance by maintaining constructive emotional patterns. In this area the Institute of Heartmath has developed evidenced based technology that allows one to produce the required coherence and resonance to modify emotional patterns. By using Breath as an initial driver for coherence, one learns to use positive emotions to maintain it and establish the resonance. It is one of my favourite techniques to deal with emotional pain. So next time you are in pain, Breath slowly and deeply. Allow Enlightenment to proceed One Breath at a time.
